I'm going to try tonight. Hopefully this cold snap we've had today will wake em up.

Let me know how you do. Are you fishing Point Defiance?

I haven't been out since last Thursday night.  We didn't do that good.  But for the two weeks before that we were doing really good.  So I hope last Thursday night was just an off night and not that the season is winding down.  We are planning on hitting it again this Thursday night and depending on how that goes, going again early Friday morning.

I went out this past Thursday night on the Seattle water front where we had been doing pretty good over the past few weeks.  But with the rivers all running high and dirty, the Duwamish was dumping a lot of muddy water into the bay and every pier we hit was really muddy water.  We did try a couple spots for a little bit and only caught a few.  Not many people out there either, they must have known it wasn't worth going with the muddy water.  I will be back out there again this coming Thursday night.

Good luck.
I'm going to try Stillicom one last time Friday night.

I went out last night for a while. It was miserable. Even the ninjas weren’t catching anything. The water looked like hot chocolate. I would be surprised if there was a foot of visibility. Poor little squids must be starving.

How long do you think it would take for the water to clear up ? I have never been squid fishing, live on Whidbey island and this year is my last shot before i transfer. Is the Edmonds Pier any good? any other suggestions for places to go

We went out last night down on the Seattle water front...water is nice and clear this week.  We didn't catch that many and they were all small.  We hit 3 different spots and all about the same.  Not many and all small.  I am starting to wondering if the season is winding down.

I hit Stillicom Friday night. Tide was out so the water was shallow, in the couple of hours I was there I didn't see many caught. I caught 10 in the first 1/2 hour and then nothing for over a hour so I packed it in.

You might be right. I haven’t read anything in the last few weeks to be optimistic about. My only thought is that the warmer weather we’ve been having isn’t forcing the big ones as close to shore as earlier.
