Not a total loss
« on: December 16, 2008, 10:19:25 AM »
Ended the archery elk season without getting one this year, but did get a shot. It is amazing how they can jump a string. :dunno: I did however redeem myself a little by taking a small coyote with a perfect heart/lung shot @ 35 yards, and found a lot of bobcat tracks in the fresh snow. Cut tracks in four different areas, wish I could have seen one of those, like I did in the early season. They don't stand still though. I learned a lot this year, and will be able to apply this to the next year's hunt. We had a new group to hunt with this year and the chemistry was really good, I think this will go a long way for next year.

I can third that. Had a couple chances, learned allot. Way more ready for next season.
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me to.
