Found Cell Phone in Cowiche!
« on: November 03, 2014, 03:47:49 PM »
Just got back from Elk hunting in Cowiche. Stumbled across a lost cell phone that was badly damaged, however the sdcard was intact.

Attached is a photo of the guy, if anyone recognizes him, please help me get in contact with him, thank you!

Are there any contacts in the phone that you can call? I have heard of others returning phones to their rightful owners by calling some of the contacts on the phone.

Kudos to you for trying to locate the phone owner

I mailed a phone that I found near Sanford Pasture back to the guy.  Called one of the contacts in the phone, told them I'd found the phone and had the contact give the guy my number if he wanted it back.  He sent a Starbucks card once he got it.  Had to give the wife my reward since I don't drink coffee, but that was fine since I didn't do it for the reward.

The phone was destroyed. If no one recognizes him I'l call up AT&T and give them the sim card number and see if there is a history of who it was registered to. I doubt they'll give me his number, but maybe they'll call him on my behalf.

I tried putting his sim card in my phone (to see what # it said it was registered to) but they weren't the same size.

I lost my phone one time in Winthrop.  Someone turned it into the authorities and they called me.  I ended up getting it back.
