Spent a lot of years grouse hunting in the Mt Adams wilderness area down there. Almost never saw a bear, but...the biggest bear I've ever seen crossed the road in front of me about 5 years ago. I would say overall, there are a lot more productive areas to hunt them.

Go further south towards trouts lake, or west to Misquito lakes or the ORV area by the lava fields. Lots of bear sign there.

The American Soldier and Jesus Christ. One died for your freedom, the other for your soul.

He trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle.
