March cow tag. ?

My son drew a cow tag... For MARCH 2015. Somewhere out near the Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge.

Anybody with experience/thoughts on filling that tag? I need to learn more about it, as he wants my help in getting it out of the field... Assuming he gets those crosshairs on a cow.

I never heard of such a late tag...

There's a handful of jan, Feb, Mar tags.  By March there will be a half grown baby inside, if she's preg.  Wonder why they have the spring tags.
