Elk hunting

First time getting my elk tag and My first elk gmu 154 on oct. 26th...and now I am hooked on elk hunting excited to some day be drawn for a bull tag! Can't wait for next year!

Nice!  Full freezer!
Suggestion for next time - get the hide off asap!   I would not hang etc like deer.
The hide on an elk is much thicker, larger body mass, meat stays warm longer.
Granted Oct is much cooler than September, but why risk losing meat?
 - Google gutless method.
