Assuming the man is average 5'9" and bout 180lb then i would say cat is bigger.  He could be over 6' and 220lb or 5'4 140lb. I dont know. Very cool cat! I jealous.

I didn't weigh it, just thought I'd throw the picture out as a victory for the deer in NE WA and the fact that the hunter was hunted.  He is a friend of my son.   I can tell you that the gamie that he called said it was the largest cat he had ever seen in this area.  That Gamie may have limited experience or never seen one before, but that's good enough for me.  Can we agree that the bike in the background is orange and white?  I should have left the reported weight out....And the dude is at least  5'2" and 120 lbs soaking wet and that's why his face is blacked out.

First and foremost it's a dead lion which is awesome. Wish we saw a lot more of them every year. Congrats to the hunter and he got a fine lion.

Bears and cats can be hard to guess the weight on. I have been around a handful of lions. Not making me a expert by any means. I would guess 150 on that cat.

This cougar was killed last November. The hunter had a late buck special permit. He stepped out of the timber and watched this cougar attack this buck. He shot the cougar and then finished off the buck. Tagged both and went home. I was told this cougar weighed 165 pounds. The hunter is 5'10". Just thought I would share.

That's a cool story.  I'd like to personally talk to the hunter in the original post.  I got it all second-third hand.  They are all just a reminder that you need to keep an eye out.  I've only seen 2 in the wild, I wonder how many have seen me.

I know a family member of the hunter and everything daddysprad said I can confirm other than weight. The game warden did make the comment and it is one if not the biggest cat I've seen. That area along the Spokane River is loaded in the winter with cats. They follow the deer. We see cat sign or cats in Riverside Park every year. So if you ever take a stroll in the park in the 7 mile to Tum Tum, I'd be packing!

That's a double most people won't get!  Two great trophies.

I can see those being mounted life size cougar taking down the buck.

I am sure plenty have seen you. I saw 1 cougar from 1982-1999 (Raymond). In 2010 I saw 2 running together during elk season (Dayton). Last elk season I had one walk into me at 20 yards; on opening morning (Selah). It saw me before I saw it. It turned and ran straight away from me into the timber. I am a fast shooter, but this cat hit the timber before I could get my gun up. They are very fast indeed.
