Wifes deer this morning / Daughters tonight
« on: November 15, 2014, 01:05:46 PM »
Got grandma to watch the kids this morning so the wife and I could go behind the barn for a quick hunt. Turned out being a good thing she has passed on the spikes and forked horns even though she said she would shoot a big forked :) Ended up seeing 9 total this morning and 2 grouse. Made a perfect shot at 200 yards. Looked low on the animal but took half the heart out. Another beautiful day in the woods.  Girls are deffinetly doing well this year. Seen 7 does this morning and 3 bucks with 4 does this evening. She connected on the last buck we seen with about 10 min. of season left. Grandpa was pretty excited about this one also. He let her use the companion card early season to shoot his doe. Was a great year. Hope everyone else enjoyed the season also.
