Puyallup Unit for late season Muzzle Stuffer elk.
« on: November 16, 2014, 07:44:37 PM »
I have a friend who needs a cow dead out of the roughly 30 which visits his place.

I need a 54 cal bullet to drop elk in its tracks or have it die within 50 yards.  It needs to die quickly as possible as the law man will be called as soon as the shot is fired.  His neighbor will be on the phone ASAP.  I am not interested in helping chase a wounded elk around with a law man in tow.

The shot will be from 50 to 100 yards.

Sorry I only shoot .50 cal. if you have .50 cal I could give you one round 290 gr. Barnes bullet and sabot which at that yardage should get the job done, if you can make the shot.
Will you take the shot or will your neighbor be the one?
Whatever........

It's not the bullet that's going to drop that cow, it's the placement of the shot. There is no way to guarantee any animal will drop in it's tracks. If it's in an area that's open to hunting and not a no shooting zone (or not too close to a home) then "F" the neighbor. PC Sheriffs are very familiar with where the shooting zones are and don't always respond to hunter complaints.  You can look up the zones on the Pierce County website.

There is no greater respect to have for wildlife than to harvest an animal fairly and use it's flesh to feed your family.  ~me
