No hidden agenda just trying to figure out,  Why do sellers ask for CPL's and DL ??

Basically makes us feel better knowing you have had a background check. Also, regarding the drivers license, if you refuse my request to simply prove you are you, could there be a bigger red flag to not do business?

I use DL to provide assurances they live in same state, thus an intrastate, not interstate, transaction.
