I use a coyote decoy (looks like a yote, with a tail that moves if it catches the wind) and I use a feather bundle I created ...

but so far not luck with those...although I have only used them like 3 times. I have had more luck using no decoys, than using decoys...

I've had amazeing luck with my jack in the box. I once kinda dozed off on stand and when I came too a coyote was sniffing the decoy! But as I said its a pain to carry! not bad for runnin and gunin though. JB

I have several. In sept I use a fawn decoy and this time of year I use a Coyote decoy and a mojo fuzzy critter (or something like that), I have also made one out of some old fly tieing supplied. I've heard the feather on a dowel works well but have never tried it.

Coyote:

Fawn:

Home made:

MOJO: I REALLY like this decoy!!!! Compact batteries last forever. Highly recommend.

I'm a real believer. If they have something to look at there's less a chance they'll see you. All of the coyotes I've called this year were glued to my decoys and didn't see me till it was too late. They can be a hassle but they are worth it. I refuse to buy those giant ones that you can't stow away though. Jack in the Box comes to ,ind. I'd love it if they had a much smaller version.

I'd be very very carefull with that coyote decoy though. I'm wary that some yahoo will start shooting at it and hit me. I put it well away from me were if someone does shoot at it I'd be out of the line of fire. I wouldn't even use it at all on public ground

I didn't actually get it from Cabela's.  They were on sale at Sportsmansguide.com for a lot less.  That one at Wal-Mart looks like it could work though.  Good find.

A "Decoy Heart" works good for building your own and the batteries last quite a while.

+1 on the Mojo Critter.  With any decoy I like intermittant (sp?) movement.  It really conserves the batteries.
