Smelt jiggin anyone?

Anyone do any smelt jiggin around oak harbor or cornet bay? I was wondering if there was any out there yet. I know the season changes every year for them.

I used to do that with my family when I was young....I haven't done that in years.  I hope someone will post something when they are running good and if I have some time I would like to get up there and give it a try again....it was fun and great eating too

Does anyone ever do it out here on the coast? Kalaloch? Copalis? Ocean shores? I used to go smelt dipping in the late spring at Kalaloch but its been a few years since I last did it and I was thinking of giving jigging a try this year. I'm sure there is different times they run in the sound versus out here on the coast.
