Shed or Broke off?
« on: November 21, 2014, 07:29:16 PM »
So I'm not sure what to think of this. It's a cam I have set up in my Mom's yard, well inside the Spokane city limits. The dates are accurate. I based off what I have seen there are 2-3 does and 4 legal bucks (3 pt. min. gmu(w/in the no shooting zone residential)) that summered in 3 yards that are no more than 10 acres total. So I'm thinking maybe there is some serious competition going on and it broke off, considering how early it would be to shed. What is anybody else's thoughts? I am going to look around tomorrow for sure.

and wouldn't ya know it, I've been over there twice now and can't find the darn thing. Got a call into the neighbor to see if I can comb through his wooded back lot. I just can't help but try to find it. I don't think i'll put pressure on them. They are protected, well fed and used to humans, I hand fed a little fork a geranium this summer!

Those guys seem to still be rutting too. cam check yesterday produced another buck with broken tines. Plus fresh scrapes all over the place. It was raining and I came across one that was still dry it was so fresh.
