Not legally, unless one of the exemptions is met.

I guess they'll need to do background checks on everyone as soon as they walk in the door. Otherwise, what's the point in going to a gun show if you aren't allowed to pick up and handle different firearms?

I'm not sure that would satisfy i-594, which requires a separate background check for each and every transfer.

Yes, you are right. Every time you want to look at a gun, it will require another background check.

I think I broke the law on Saturday.  I held my hunting partner's rifle a couple of different times while he was putting on a raincoat or whatever.

After seeing the memo from DOR about how they will collect tax on sales and transfers, I figure now they will probably be searching out all the most innocuous offenses to 594...probably create a huge special task force.  Got to get all those tax dollars.

If the transferor/sellor is an FFL, yes. Otherwise, you technically need another exemption.
