To much spent to close to election day

I was reading through a bunch of stuff on the I-594 crowd,I see several news reports and such on how much who contributed and when they did.I see that Bloomberg Donated another 300k to the cause the week of the 25th of Oct.,If this is true then they broke the law about contribution 21 days prior to vote on Initiatives set at $5000 for any person or group.Then I got to thinking about who else did this and how much was contributed after this deadline.   Anyone have any Ideas on this?CAMPAIGN FINANCE REQUIREMENTS FOR WA. Well Im just thinking way outside the box.The more things that we can find wrong with this thing and a list compiled for a compitant att.we should be able to have this thing over turned.I just hope that all the info we can get gets to the right hands.I hope Dave Workman sees some of the posts that people are putting on the forum for this.

I doubt we could get it thrown out but there may be penalties for the offending parties.

I wrote to the WA Public Disclosure Commission who checks into campaign finance: http://www.pdc.wa.gov/. Their email is pdc@pdc.wa.gov.

"Dear Sirs/Madams,

I believe the $5,000 within 21 days rule was violated by several parties with regards to the passage of I-594 in WA. Please check into individual donors and groups, including but not limited to Moms Demand Action, EveryTown for Gun Safety, Washington Alliance for Gun Responsibility, Michael Bloomberg, Paul Allen, Steve Ballmer, Connie Ballmer, Bill and Melinda Gates, Nick Hanauer, Mayors Against Illegal Guns, Ann Wyckoff.

Thanks you for looking into this. I look forward to hearing what you come up with.

Unfortunate reply from PDC:

"Dear Mr. Pianoman,

Thank you for your email.  RCW 42.17A.420 requires that contributions to a political action committee (PAC) in excess of $5,000 in the aggregate must be timed so that they are received more than 21 days before a general election; within the 21-day period, contributions are capped at $5,000.  Outside of the 21-day period before the general election, there is no limit in Washington State law on contributions to a PAC.

However, following the 2011 decision of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in Family PAC v. McKenna, the 21-day timing provision of RCW 42.17A.420 does not apply to contributions made to a ballot proposition committee, including the Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund for I-594.  This means that the sources you listed would be permitted to make contributions exceeding $5,000 to the I-594 committee during the 21 days before the election.

Actually that was a ruling of unconstitutionality on parts of the $5k within 21 rule. I believe it was a ruling of 1st Amendment infringement.
