I thought it was funny he lost the mass he did, but he is a dead ringer to one on the hoof.  That makes me happy he is still out there if this is the case.

This is the bull that was found by a friend of mine about 5 years ago now, it was killed by another bull, game dept. took possession of it, not the same one.

Nice, is that from the blewett area? That area definitely has the same characteristics and it just proves that 1 bull can sure spread his genes.

Re the references in this thread to a 10 x 10 typical, I'm pretty sure B&C only recognize typical elk up to an 8 x 8. Any points on a beam after that are deemed non-typical points.

What I'm sure people are referring to is a 10x10 that has a typical frame with points in typical fashion off the mainbeam. I doubt any was referring to the way B&C officially scores an elk. :twocents:

Bull was from South I-90 unit public land bull found during muzzleloader season number years ago.  Contacted WDFW to report after finding it.  WDFW officers responded and performed autopsy and located deep infection from puncture wound to belly.  Side note the bulls rack was covered with dried blood. His ivories were wore down to small nubs barely visible in the gum line.

Yes, both posted pictures are of the same bull. Initially wrote a request letter to WDFW to donate rack to our local RMEF chapter. WDFW instead donated set from Oak Creek.  I hope someday they are sold and funds utilized to benefit elk herds in WA and all of us who pursue them. Pictures do not do this bull justice definitely the wow factor when you walk up on him especially here in WA.
