My first game cam pics ready to post, but first I have a question
«

I know how to post pics by first putting them somewhere on the web (Photobucket in my case) but is it possible to post pics directly from a file on my computer without having to put them on the web first?

Yes, you just have to resize them.

Yes, click on "Attachments and other options" and then "Choose file."
It's best if you can resize your pictures first, to 800x600 or smaller.

Trying to figure out how to resize pics on my computer. Is there a tutorial somewhere on that?

Most guys use the Paint program under Accessories on your computer. It has an option to resize a pic, then save the new smaller size and upload it.

Just open the picture in Microsoft Office, click on the "Picture" menu, select 'resize,' and it should be obvious how to complete the process once you get there.

OK, I think I've got it figured out thanks to your tips.
So, the pics didn't turn out very well and it sounds like I missed a reformatting step in my SD cards which may have caused that problem, so I'll need to figure that out for better quality pics. The camera is in the woods a short walk from home just to test it out before putting it out in a good hunting area. I am getting does so far but I changed the location by about 100 yards today that I think may have a little more traffic so I'm hoping to get a buck on film.

open pic, right click the mouse on the pic, "open in"..."paint", re-size to 800x600, save and post. This is what I do and it is really easy.

Reformatting your card won't give you better quality pictures. It's the camera that determines picture quality.
