Winlock Coyotes
« on: January 13, 2015, 09:53:07 AM »
I was talking to a librarian at Centralia College today that has too many coyotes near her house.
She says they are scaring her, coming out in her back field during daylight hours.
Leaving dismembered rabbits in her yard.
Keeping her up at night with their howling.
Says they kill the fawns, and the neighbor sheep-farm has issues with them also.

Only thing is, I am only an "incidental" coyote hunter.
I don't have a coyote rifle, or actively hunt coyotes.
Anybody want to help this lady out ?
I, of course, will want to come along and participate the initial trip.
Once I make the introduction, I will not have an issue with you hunting on your own after that.

If you have a gun you have coyote gun. My first dog was with a .22 single shot savage.

I have all the gear and loaner gear.  I lived at 636 Nevil Rd.  in the mid 90s and yes the coyotes are annoying.  every time the damn train rolls through they start howling.  a lot of yipping pups to.  Let me know I have night hunting set ups to get them.

Unfortunately her husband put the "kibosh" on the deal.
Seems they have had too many problems in area that he wants nothing to do with allowing access.
It is a real shame that a few slob hunters ruined a great opportunity.
I will continue to talk to her, and see if I can persuade her to convince him of there being responsible sportsmen (and women) available.
It sounds like one of those situations where restricting access has caused the problem.
