looking for a possible mentor in shelton
« on: February 02, 2015, 04:03:09 PM »
So like the subject says im looking to possibly find a mentor in the shelton area. Someone who would be willing to help me get through the learning curve.  I have wanted to trap for sometime now. I just havent had the opportunity to. Well I decided enough thinking about it. Lets make it happen. Ive been doing all kinds of research on trapping but I would love to get some first had expierience with it. If there is anyone in the shelton area who wouldnt mind taking a newbie out with them let me know. Im not looking to sneak in on anyones secret spots. Just want to learn what to look for and what to do. How to properly handle hides and put them up to sell. Have someone that can answer questions I might have. My ultimate goal is to be able to spend more time in the woods and get my kids involved. If I can put up enough fur to pay for my gas then great. If nothing else the kids and I will have fun trying.
It's not the size of the trophy that make's it a trophy.

You may just be one person in this world. But you may be the world to just one person.
