M&P 15-22 how well do they shoot??
« on: February 12, 2015, 12:13:38 PM »
I'm thinking about getting my daughter a M&P 15-22 she's in love with the pink platinum version.  She told me it would go really well with her little single shot Henry that is painted up in "chick web" by Defensive Edge.

I've read a few reviews and it sounds like they function well but does anyone here have one or spent much time shooting one and if so how well do they shoot??  Looking for a fun little plinker for her to shoot stuff with including sage rats out to maybe 75-85 yards.  With decent ammo will these shoot MOA out to that yardage or are they more of a short yardage pray and spray gun?

How do these things handle a scope and I'm open to suggestions in the scope dept. too.

Thanks for any and all help.

I have the MOE version and love it! It functions flawlessly and shoots very well. I have a vortex Strike fire red dot on mine and can easily hit pop cans at 50 yards and farther. I have taken it to 100 at the range but with a red dot you cant verify MOA.

We take it camping and everyone love shooting it.
I wouldent hesitate if I were you. I shoot win and fed ammo as well some lead crap and never had a hickup.

Excellent! Thanks

Also, I see they have one out of their Performance Center, anyone know if it is worth the extra $$$.  Probably wouldn't matter if there is because I'm guessing my daughter would rather have the, to her, "cool" looking pink platinum over any "cool factor" one would have coming from the Performance shop. lol
