300 win mag you're absolutely correct.  Goes to show I don't visit wilderness areas.  Here is what the forest service has on the interweb:
Motorized and mechanized equipment
Motorized and mechanized equipment are not allowed, including drones (see below), bicycles, carts, wagons, chainsaws, hang gliders and off-road vehicles and other wheeled vehicles. Landing aircraft, air dropping or picking up supplies, materials or people are prohibited.
Public use of drones (including quadcopters, model aircraft and other unmanned aerial systems) is increasing in popularity. However, drones are motorized equipment and are prohibited in wilderness. Please help us protect wilderness character by leaving your drone at home when you visit a congressionally designated wilderness area. Federal regulation 36 CFR 261 18a states that the following are prohibited in a National Forest Wilderness:(a) Possessing or using a motor vehicle, motorboat or motorized equipment except as authorized by Federal Law or regulation.(b) Possessing or using a hang glider or bicycle.(c) Landing of aircraft, or dropping or picking up of any material, supplies, or person by means of aircraft, including a helicopter.

In particular, drones are not legal [because] "However, drones are motorized equipment and are prohibited in wilderness." But bicycles are not legal because.....why? And carts/wagons? It's also interesting that back-country ski equipment is every bit as "mechanized" as a bicycle, and ski equipment is allowed but bicycles are not.

Fat bikes are cool. They were originally designed for use in the snow. Using one on trails or logging roads.... idiotic. Trust me, as a Dude who has raced mtb for years and is a lifetime bike rider, they are way more work/effort than your standard mtb. Looks cool. Completely ridiculous to use hunting. Unless you are hunting in deep snow.

Yeah they're more work, but you can probably tube behind a motorboat with those tires. :chuckle:
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.
