Bank fishing for smallies

Live on east side of washington near yakima help me find a good place to target smallies off the bank

Pretty much any open spots u can find on the lower yak will hold some. Off the Columbia in the tricities or down by Patterson and Plymouth hold smallies too in rocky areas in the sloughs. I tend to use tube jigs most of the time fishing those areas. Try not to use a light rod. I use my light rod and reel setup I use for crappie but have lost some nice sized catfish fishing for smallies on the lower yak off the bank.

       Lots of good access around Twin Bridges and Horns Rapid park. Come May and June its lights out fishing.

Mardon Resort off the bridge.  You will have a blast.  I love fishing Mardon.  Camp there on the resort, fish all day.  Good camping.  Its a blast.  Ive got rid of my small boat, and primarily only fish salt.  But, considered a little camping trip there.
