I read them online last night and noticed that they changed the Washington Mini Slam page. On a side note there hasn't been very many slams the past couple years. Why do you think that is? Less hunters? Fewer Easterns?

It appears they replaced the additional space dedicated to those who have accomplished both slams since it's inception with an ad for the NWTF.  That was the one page dedicated to Washington turkey hunters, you know, the ones that actually pay the freight.  What a waste. :twocents:

Does anybody have any idea why they changed the last page? I agree with Wacent, it's the only page actually dedicated to Washington hunters, and not just any hunter, the ones that have achieved what most haven't or only dream about. I believe ALL the slam winners should be recognized!

Having retired from WDFW and actually being responsible for that pamphlet for many years back in the 80's, I would say it's most likely because someone doesn't want to go the extra mile to make the annual addition changes that are required.  If they say if space related they could either add a page or delete some other non essential text. :twocents:

Less than pleased that the youth hunting weekend is on the 4th and 5th (Easter Sunday). :bash:

Ya me and the bro in law was talking about that this weekend. I thought the youth hunt has been the weekend before the general opener?

Who cares?  That's why....

I've completed it but didn't know how to apply and didn't care enough to figure it out.  I bet there are quite a few like myself in this category.   :dunno:
