First time trying for bass. Bait help

Did you ever make it to Coffee Pot? I fished there last week in  a float tube. It would be fishable from shore if you head towards the narrows and to the south. All i caught were trout but I was fly fishing.

My trip got delayed for a little bit. Life got a little hectic. I'll be trying to make my way down there in the next few weeks.
