Rechargeable AA batteries please
« on: April 02, 2015, 04:21:58 AM »
Need 2 or 3 sets of 4. So if I can buy in bulk and save big bonus. best brands for the money. Lithium ion edit: nickel metal hydrate please. Primary use will be for camera speedlight flashes. They will be abused. I already have one charger that will take 4x batteries at a time.

How is Sanyo?

I only use eneloops, put them in your cart on Amazon, within a day or two you should start receiving deals by email, LOL

Your a better man then me, I am one of those people who will spend tons of time looking for a good price, then pay more for overnight shipping then I did for the product.  :bash:

eneloops are only nice if the battery needs to sit for long periods of time, they have a bit less drop in mah over time.   NiMH loose charge over time.

look for a higher mah rating.  walmart has nimh rechargeable energizers up to 2400mah which has proven plenty for high drain devices like my FoxPro caller.  It's convenient.  The one's that come with the charger are 1400mah though which sucks.  I got lucky and found some 2400mah with chargers.  now I got 20+ of them.

tenergy is a decent battery with a good price point, if you don't mind popping them in the charger once a month.  They also have some higher mah batteries in AA

edit:  I see tenergy is also selling low self drain batts too.   Don't pay the premium for eneloops

eneloop are amazing mine can sit forever it seems or I can shoot days in a row run downloads and they keep going.  To give an idea I charged mine once since I lived in this apartment I moved in last July they died last saturday I need to dig the charger out.  My camera has sat or been used with those batteries this entire time.  Its an older Olympus I shoot raw.  when I use the other rechargables no idea some name brand those puke out after a week.  I love my eneloops.  love them makes me actually use my camera because I am not constantly dealing with dumb dead batteries.

Good stuff, thanks. I noticed the MhA on the Eneloops--2,000 right? The Energizers I'm rocking now are 2,500. I'm guessing the higher number means a larger gas tank of energy? I don't mind having to recharge them the night before the next event. What I don't want is to be halfway through a wedding reception and the flash starts dying.

I've got the Energizers in my FoxPro as well. Going on 9 years now and they still work great.  Even after sitting for long periods of time. I think they are like 2640s though. They're a higher number than the 2400s,  and last time I checked, couldn't find them anywhere. Seems the 2400s took over.

I second the Tenergy rechargeable batteries! I've been using them for years and have been very happy with them, you can always find deals on their site.

I use PowerEx batteries heavily in my camera gear, they are rated at 2700 Mah and last a long time. Hold their charge well over time if they just sit unused.
