New kid. What do I get?
« on: April 02, 2015, 01:48:18 PM »
Hey guys, hoping to get drawn for multi season deer this year and if I do I'm going to take advantage of all seasons and try to introduce myself to some bow hunting. I have no idea where to start, I've done some reseach and I like the sounds of a 60-70lb draw weight and a 31-32" draw length. What I read was divide your wingspan by 2.5 to get your draw length and I'm right at a 79" wingspan. Anyways, if you guys could toss me any info or advice on what bows to look at and what kind of arrows/broadheads to get or anything else I would greatly appreciate it!! Thank you in advance.
They is where you aint and you aint where they is.

With a wingspan like that your gonna need to get a set up with a little bit longer ata(axel to axel) goldtip or beman arrows are great starters. & find a bow that fits & draws smooth for you! So the fun starts now go test drive some bows

Have you had your draw length confirmed by a bow shop? (not Big 5, Cabela's etc.)

Not trying to tell you your business but it could save you some headaches  :twocents:

Got a nice mathews solo cam bow ready to go listed in the classifieds on here would be a great starter bow for you. With a release you might be close to your draw lenght. Get some arrows and practice you'd be good to go !
