Has anyone used the "peel and stick" camo spray paint templates???

Has anyone used the "peel and stick" camo spray paint templates that Brownell's carries. . .one is from Lauer Weaponry and the other one is from Bulldog Arms
These are the ones from Lauer Weaponry that I'm considering:
ACU pattern
http://www.lauerweaponry.com/DuraCoatColors.cfm?ID=TP21&Category=240&colorchoice=cpr21.jpg&colortype=pattern
CADPAT pattern
http://www.lauerweaponry.com/DuraCoatColors.cfm?ID=TP24&Category=240&colorchoice=CPR24.jpg&colortype=pattern
Desert Mirage Flage pattern
http://www.lauerweaponry.com/DuraCoatColors.cfm?ID=TP16&Category=240&colorchoice=cpr16.jpg&colortype=pattern
Wilderness Mirage Flage pattern
http://www.lauerweaponry.com/DuraCoatColors.cfm?ID=TP14&Category=240&colorchoice=cpr14.jpg&colortype=pattern
And this is what Bulldog Arms has:
Digital
http://catalog.bulldogarms.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3
Extreme Digital
http://catalog.bulldogarms.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=6
Flectar
http://catalog.bulldogarms.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=4
DPM Woodland
http://catalog.bulldogarms.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=5
Multi-SPEC
http://catalog.bulldogarms.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=10
Rhodesian
http://catalog.bulldogarms.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=12
U.S. Woodland/Urban
http://catalog.bulldogarms.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=9
I'm leaning towards the Bulldog Arms templates because they don't come with the paint which I wouldn't use anyway because I don't have a spray gun. . .I will be using rattle can from Brownell's and the Bulldog templates are much cheaper since they don't come with paint. . .
Just wondering how these actually work and whether they are worth it or not. . .I want to do a digital camo pattern and there is NO way that I could do a digitial pattern without a template. . .not to mention I'm not all that artistic/creative to begin with. . .
Let me know if any of you guys have tried one of the above or a different kit. . .
Thanks!!!

Ive made my own peel and stick using the Avery labels to print out and cut out using my printer. I found some delcas at a hobby shop once that I also used. 70 dollars for some stickers seems like a lot to me, at least for some stickers.
I thought about painting my weatherby but never have.

Dude... just get a couple cans of Krylon Camo from Wal-Mart... and go to town. I've seen a couple rifles done with those stencils... they don't look very good. Here's a camo job I did using only the OD Green and the Khaki. I used the green as a base, then used some grass from one of the wife's flower arangements (don't tell her) as a stencil. I think it looks a lot better than the stencils you can buy.
I'm fixing to paint another one tonight... I'll take some pics and do a post on it.

The Bulldog templates are only $9.99 and they look better than do Lauer's. . .
. . .the only reason I would use one of the templates is because I would like to do a digital pattern and I couldn't do a digital pattern without a template

Ive never seen a square hole punch, maybe at the art and craft store where they have different shapes like at the coffee house or what not. Dont know if it would be cheaper to buy a hole pnch or just get a 10 dollar template. I tend to do a lot of things myself when I can. Im just wierd like that I guess.
I really want to try that water transfer camo film. It cant be that difficult. Im going to order some film and see what I can figure out with it.

JoshT nailed it, go to a craft store buy plastic, ferns, leaves etc. about $3.00 and a couple rattle cans. Keep in mind its gonna scratch off etc. and need constant touch ups. Keep VERY light on the thickness of coats.

A scotchbrite pad will help paint adhere to most surfaces. The grey and red ones from the paint store are best but the ones from the hardware and grocery store will work too.

I've done a lot of painting on sportbike fairings etc. . .if you go to the auto parts store and you buy the adhesion promoter it will go a long way to help your paint stick on composite materials. . .
FrankDown. . .where did you see the water transfer film??? That would be cool as well!!!

I did a search on google and there was some information about how its done. There was a thread here about it but it got buried.
Be careful withthat spray adhesive promoter, it can cause fire. The painter in a shop I was working did it inside the spray booth. He was spraying it in the booth and when he touched it static caught it on fire. He had to pull the fire suppressor.
Seems from what Ive read that you need to prep the piece (scotchbrite or sand) and waterborne primer it. Put the film in the water and add an activator (to release the starch from the film I assume) and dip the piece. Remove the extra film, then remove the part and olet dry. Then add a coat or two of clear or matte finish.
You have to take stuff apart and mask off stuff but it shouldnt be much different than painting it.
I subscribe to Make! magazine and do a lot of projects and this one doesnt seem to be far out of scope. I did bodywork for 15 years and seems like it should be doable, maybe a little practice before doing my rifle barrel but it should be doable.
Im going to try getting some film and stuff to try it out.
