a kinda strange....
« on: January 03, 2009, 12:37:22 PM »
...thing happened to me today while lookin for yotes. i walked up past a gate just out side eatonville and as i was walking in i picked up some coyote tracks and followed them up. well i was up there for about 2 hours calling with no luck so i head back to the truck. on my way back the same way i came i see two crows on something in middle of the road, as i come up to it it was a raccoon torn open from his chin to his tail and still warm, heres the strange part there were no new tracks in the snow :dunno: this raccoon was literally two feet from my tracks coming up and i went in while it was light. its like the thing fell from the sky but he was a little to big for a eagle or a hawk, i looked all around couldn't find a single fresh track. thought id share it was pretty weird. i did set up the call by him and called for about 20 min but saw nothing

snow was a little crusty but i could see the crows foot prints so it wasnt to hard for anything that would have done that, i thought bird also but the way it was ripped open looked more like what a cat will do, like i said it was strange i guess somethings just are :dunno:
