Satalite cell phone trail cameras?
« on: May 11, 2015, 02:12:39 PM »
Anyone use them? I'm probable calling them the wrong thing but I've seen them on tv. I'm looking for a trail cam I can put at my bear bait (Alaska) and be able to get pics without having to take 3 hours to get to it. The barrel location is in cell service so I'm guessing its doable. I figured it will cost more but better than $60 in diesel running to check an empty card.

thanks ahead of time for the help and ideas.

Tman....I know there was a fairly recent thread on this....I've tried a few word combos to search but for the life of me can't find it. Maybe someone will post a link. If I remember there was some good info posted.

Never used one, but this company makes them.

Used some Panda Cell cameras.   Had to use large external antenna to get signal.
Cell is expensive enough, shudder to think what a satellite rig would cost on a monthly basis.

trailcampro.com is who my friend used.
HCO also has their own website.

Kind of cool to have pictures emailed to you real time.
Old enough to know better.
Young enough to go for it.
