While deer hunting, a big paddle shed was found, several people talked about seeing a big bull.  This was about seven years ago. When so many people know about an animal in a remote place it can be killed illegally.   No one has talked about seeing that bull since.  I've seen moose and sign a lot, doubt I would ever get a chance to hunt one.

Looks like the one that was going through my brother in laws yard in Mazama back in December.

Seen quite a few in the Methow over the years.   Biggest fence destroyers made, next to two bull elk fighting!!!!

Even stranger surprisingly, there was a matched set 6x6 elk shedders found very near Conconully this past winter.

Go SE out of Conconully takes you over a Baldy Pass into Winthrope.

What's limebelt area?

It's a WDFW area. Look for the Limebelt Rd a few miles past the Riverside/Conconully cutoff rd going towards Conconully on the north side.

That country could hold tons of elk if they woul let them get a foot hold.  :twocents:

Now that would be awesome :)

Saw a big set of tracks way up on the 38rd 3yrs ago, just dismissed it as wayward moocow without much inspection. Oops.

I'm not sure. It was pretty close to the 38 road and 39 road junction. Can they hunt there?

I'm not sure where they can hunt.   They get a slug of tags though and have been getting some great Bulls.

We saw a ton of moose sign in the Chewuch this past week in areas we have never seen moose sign before. Can only get your hopes up for more moose tags someday most likely after I die.

Maybe that's the youngster we saw wading in Buzzard Lake a few years ago, sort of in the Conconully/Okanogan area.
