Anyone fish and/or camp at Leech Lake up on White Pass? Wondering when is the time to hit it with the fly rod. I think it might be a little early now, but maybe later in June? Thanks!!
I know it is selective gear rules, but we used to do good on float tube about 9 years ago in there. I think now would be a great time, they just released 650 trout in there 2 days ago!

How is the campground? Does it get crowded? I'm not planning on going this weekend FWIW.

There is the White Pass horse camp to the east that I have never seen full up except on major weekends. However, leech lake is packed on most weekends. From my experiences of taking lunch up there, I would recommend camping and fishing Monday-Thursday during the week. Sometimes on weekdays, there isnt a soule up there. The boat launch is nothing special.
