I will be there as well, maybe try a hunt one morning? I know a couple possible areas. Had hoped to be up all of the week before, but school for the kid starts that week. :(

Are you wanting to hunt close to the Dosewallips?  You can hunt along the road past the washout up to the park boundary.  I see sign along the road.  Usually see a few grouse too.  But there are nearby areas like Duckabush or Big Quilcene that aren't all that far.  East side of the Olympics are pretty steep and probably be pretty warm out on Labor Day.  Usually the low, cool, shady spots near food are good places to look.

Technically I won't be down at the Dose Park...I'm above in the upper Lazy C.

I would try around mt jupiture.  They logged up there 4 or 5 years ago.  There lots of roads to check out.  Just don't go all the way to the trail head to mt Jupiter or you may have to deal with a granola head from Seattle.
