That's all that really matters.     positive mental attitude goes along way in the elk woods.  I think those that love to hunt don't worry about the kill.  Rather keep it number one on the to do list and every action should be geared to that goal.  But to relish on the kill while hunting, that can make it a grind, as kills can be a lot less frequent that the hours in the brush.

It was a cool hunt with hardly any people, so that was the quality of it.

The bulls were just quiet, got into elk everyday just no big bulls for me.

Sounds like everyone had an opportunity to kill a descent bull, but everyone was holding out for a monster. Correct?
