Confused as to why the license plate matters....   :dunno:

Lots of sue-happy people out there. But also lots of bad guys trolling for opportunity. If the guy who owns the truck ended up having a legal bull in there, but was wrongfully harassed due to this thread, he could sue NWKrenz for posting his plate number on the internet. Remember anyone can get on this website and read the threads, you have no idea who is on here.

and yeah, a license plate number and VIN would get you a spare key at the right dealership. I remember watching one of those "To Catch a Thief" episodes where the guy goes around to various dealerships with nothing but the two numbers written on a piece of paper and ended up with a few spare keys.

In order to get keys cut now, there are forms to fill out, picture ID requirements, proof of ownership requirements now at most if not all dealerships.

A license plate is considered to be "Personal Information Identification" (PII), according to the government.  Being careless with PII can get a Federal Employee fined and or jail time. Sure posting a plate number isn't as bad as posting someone's SSN, but it's amazing what bad smart people can do.  Oh, and I think it's only one elk.

Looks like one and looks like a rocky mountain bull pretty thin for a Rosie but could be a cross breed
