« on: June 15, 2015, 06:15:05 AM »
So after plinking with RT's 32 win I found one . Anyone else on here love there's? I figured since the limited range that any old box ammo would work fine but has anyone ran the Hornady leverlution ?. i'm lloking forward to sending some down the pipe soon .

I love mine. The core lokt shoots great and performs great on animals. Can't justify the slight price increase for the leverevolution when the core lokts do so great in the gun. It's easy to burn through multiple boxes shooting, it's so much fun.

Congrats on the new rifle. I've wanted a .32 win special for awhile. I use Leverevolution in my .338 Marlin Express. I really like it.

I believe I have the side scope mount if you are wanting a scope. That top eject screws up a normal mount. I will say the side mount is kinda challenging to dial in since you now have to deal with two planes of line of sight and bullet path.

:)friend of mine hunts with one, has for 30 years or so I know of. Something we ran across with his and I have seen other times is there seems to be differences in Base diameter. In his winchester rifle, Remington ammo will not stay in the magazine, jams the  gun up, Winchester ammo always works!!?? the remington ammo pushes back out of the mag tube like the rim does not catch or something???
You guys seen that ever???

Shot my first deer with a 32 special when I was 10. Dad said I couldn't use a scope until I filled a tag with open sights. Then last year he surprised me with it as a gift for my first Father's Day present with strict orders that it be passed down to my son

I have an inlaw who scoped his and in my opinion it really took something away from the gun.  Just doesn't look right.  I'm taking mine down to the Utah rifle hunt this year.  Kind of challenging as a lot of the shots down there can be in that 200+ yard range, but I love shooting mine and if I can't get closer I won't take the shot. (guess if my eyes were younger and better I could probably take those longer shots, but those days are over for me)

A Scope on a .32 Win would be a huge mistake.  Rifles such as these are meant to be the way they are.

This was also my training gun.  My grandpa who I never met left it to my dad.  He made me shoot my first 4 or so deer with it.  Nobody was as shocked as I was when I hit the bullseye twice at 40 yards with those open sights.  Dad said "that'll work" and I thought "great, I fooled him into thinking I can do this".  Shot one in the heart the next day.

When my little brother started hunting, his first gun had a scope  :bash:.

I remember being terrified at age 9 putting that hammer to half cock...

Model 94, first gun I ever owned.  Bought it in a gun shop in Omak 45 years ago.  Sold it to my brother a year later.  Always regretted it.  He gave it back to me a few years ago.  Might have to kill an elk with it before I'm done.  I know he has.

The lever action .32 win was what my gramps used back in the day for deer hunting, killed some monster bucks with it. But he didn't hold onto the gun. I've always wanted one, my buddy has a beauty that I've had the privilege of shooting a couple times. I've offered him cash and trade 100 times, but he refuses to sell it. Someday...It'll be mine.
