I'm not going to argue with anybody who has g*n&ds big enough to choose a handle like "400 Gross."

My guess is he meant with the heatwave any scoutimg might cause elk undue stress in the heat and push them around when they would best be left to soak up the shade , mud and water? :dunno: my  :twocents:

[/quote]my guess IS you know where the elk like .I say don't bug them let them grow and  deal with the heat without  stress . Guys really push elk while scouting in my mind.
If you find elk not being bothered the first week of august  just back out till sept they will be there. Come the rut the big bulls move in  and where they where isn't where there at.  I don't see very many big trail cam bulls killed .

Any scouting updates?  Do you have big one all tied up?

I went 2 days last week (Tuesday/Wednesday). Still too hot. It was 65 degrees up top the north slopes and really windy. I spent some time with the Biologist who gave me a few pointers. I was more interested in driving the roads to learn the access routes to the areas I plan to hunt.

He passed on a pretty good bull most would have shot but there is a few monsters aound.
