Strickland Helix
« on: June 16, 2015, 07:51:07 AM »
Anybody on here ever shoot a Strickland Helix? Might give the 2 blade single bevels a try this year. No reason to leave Slicktricks other than why not try something new. Looking for real life experience, not internet consumer reports  :chuckle:

Send a message to ET1702.  I know that he used them at one point.  I am not sure what he is shooting right now.

They have flown very well for me and punched right through a 5x5 WT first trip with them.  I first bought them for elk because of their bone cutting capabilities.  I know some folks don't like them.. but I thought they were well made and did a good job.

update:

they worked great for me with elk this year.  no damage to the broadhead whatsoever.  passed through and got both lungs, and it went 40 yards or so before crumpling.

2nd year update:

elk pass through and dead elk after 60 yards.  I am a total fan now and will gladly pay a few extra dollars for these.
