I cant wait to have mine burning in my tent. Fighting the urge to take the tent out again. Waiting for the first. Maybe a combo bear, grouse and scouting trip. If we still have access.

I burned my four dog the other day.  Only problem I had was a price of welding wire was left in the water tank.  I didn't see it and over 24 hrs the water rusted the peice of welding wire and rusted the water tank a tiny bit too...  Might be able to grind it out but.  Other than that it went great.

Well I am in love with my three dog.

Used for modern deer and the first night I had it 92 in the tent. My partner was going to go outside and sleep next to the tent. But I figured out the damper , air setings and kept it a nice 59 degrees the rest of the trip. In fact I only lit it three times in 10 days. It wass still going the rest of the time.
Very nice. I will never go back.

Im in the market for a stove and after reading your post I'm sold. I've got a 12x20 do you think the three dog would be enough or should I step up to the four? Thanks

Everyone says go big as you can . I am a warm blooded soul so I can imagine needing anything bigger.
But your tent is twice as big and the price difference isn't that much.
So I would go with the four dog in your case.

I also suggest

Forget the water heater, every one I know either doesn't use them or says its a pain.

I would get the extra side shelf I tead ,which is what I did. You can heat water in anything.

Get the damper.

Forget the spark arrestor.

Let's us know.

Ya, I was kinda thinking bigger. Thanks for the tips, probably saved me $95 on the water heater. Think I'm gonna have to put one to the test on the late archery hunt later next month.
