True spike definitely not legal but y not spike unit? It starts below the ear i thought that matters if it starts below the ear?

I believe the regulation used to be based on the ear but they changed it to 4" from the skull recently.

The youngster could have some real strange antlers if he lives long enough, be interesting if he keeps that split at the base.  Any fawns or calves been sighted?  Lots of baby munching bears.  Thanks for sharing

Had one fawn but no calves. Only had one cow show up and didn't see a calf with her.

that's the plan, my hunting partner and I have cow tags this year. Fairly certain he won't get touched by anyone!

He looks legal to me, unless you're in a true spike unit. He's be fun to find during season!  :twocents:

I have one also that is split at the base. This guy has a arrow from last season still in his shoulder on the opposite side as the horn deformation.

Or till you forget to trim that one twig that hangs down in front of it a little or that one too tall fern blade. And when you come back your card is full of hundreds of pictures of brush blowing in the wind.

that's crazy! I've heard that if a buck/bull has an injury like that it'll effect antler growth on the other side. At least that's the rumor! Sweet bull!!
