Area 9 opener
« on: July 16, 2015, 01:37:46 PM »
Anyone fish it today?

I fished a couple hours off the West side of P bar before work this morning.  Nothing caught.  50 or so boats over there and I didn’t see anything caught.

Landed 2 keepers and lost one that nearly spooled me.
Possession also.
Had one take down at PNP but never felt it.
One shot. One kill!

Fish checker said about 1 per boat average. Mostly kings but a few pinks and silvers were in the mix.
I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not!

Fished it, crowded at PNP and skunk bay
saw zero fish netted
I talked to one guy at the ramp that had a nice fish around 12bs
said first light bite
I was late at 5am and was surprised by the number of boat trailers at the ramp
will try again tomorrow probably

I think its the North wind.
I'm going to wait until the wind direction changes
North wind has never been good for fishing IMO.

talked to a guy that got one about 23lbs and saw another taken about same size as this one

Isn't the quota around 70% met already?  You think it will last the week?
