chiliwist doe
« on: October 08, 2015, 10:24:09 AM »
as much as I don't want to post this I am thick skinned enough to take the beating so here goes.

I drew 2nd deer for the unit WT doe. I don't know anything about it and really had no idea I put in for it think i hit the wrong button on my phone when putting in. anyways I am contemplating running over there for a few days been lookin at the maps and have 2 general areas in mind but wondering if any of you want to throw a bone or any advice. I have fish beer and willing to trade offshore fishing for the right intel. or if I decide to go over maybe we can hook up for a beer and shoot the crap. I am lookin at heading over Friday be there late evening if I go and stay for a few days. shoot me a pm if ya want I don't like posting much detail on the web myself.

I see. I wasn't aware they had 2nd deer tags during the modern season dates unit wide. Especially that were for whitetail specificly. There used to be doe tags then for youth and our elder hunters, but they weren't a 2nd tag. The 2nd tags I remember were private land only. However, there's been a lot of changes over the past few years to the 2nd and doe tags that I don't pay much attention to. Anyhow, there are a few whiteys in the unit. A huge majority of the entire unit was torched last year in the Carlton Complex fire affecting most of the whitey habitat. A day or two of scouting should find a few. You can do a search on here and there will be some info that might be beneficial.
