Water in my diesel
« on: August 31, 2015, 03:46:30 PM »
My light just came on that shows I have water in my tank in my 2014 Dodge ram. I was wondering if there is ways I can fix it myself or should I just bring it in?

I dont know about your truck but most diesels have a fuel filter/water seperator. I purge my at least once a month and before a long haul. I also do it if I run the tank low.
I would also add that I put a secondary filter in line that is 2 micron. I think in my 03 dodge stock is 8-10. Those 2 things will increase the longevity of your pump and injectors.

Drain the filter bowl and change the fuel filter.

Drain the filter bowl and change the fuel filter.
This! Might also run some power service additive to it. We had a problem with water in the fuel filters on our semi trucks. Was having to change filters every 100 hours.
