Muzzle loader hunting in SW Washington
« on: September 07, 2015, 01:02:10 PM »
I grew up hunting mule deer in Nevada but I haven't hunted in WA before. I live in Vancouver and I was wondering if anyone could help me find some good areas to hunt within a n hour or so form Vancouver. I was thinking maybe the Yale or Washougal areas. I've driven around a bit and I am somewhat familiar with this area but any help on locating some good areas to hunt during muzzleloader season would be great. Also any tips on hunting black tails in this terrain would be helpful. It is much different than I am used to hunting in Nevada.

Welcome aboard.

First piece of advice:   Get a GPS with the Washington landowner map.   You need to know where you are and land ownership is so fractured.

Good luck!
