Mike Lapinski's books on elk
« on: September 16, 2015, 08:08:02 PM »
A guy named GetRDone recommended Mike Lapinski's books on another thread so I ordered 3 of them online today Radical Elk Hunting Strategies: Secrets of Calling Elk in Close, All about Elk, and High Pressure Elk Hunting" Secrets of Hunting Educated Elk. Looking forward to reading about everything I did wrong this year. Anyone else read these?

Yes, I have two of the titles you mentioned. I've read them several times, a lot of good info. He's a purist, he's old school, and he has a love for the animals and teaches solid ethics. If you hunt the early rut like we do in archery pay special attention to his peak rut calling tech, and his agrresive encounter. Great off season or preseason reading. Or mid season switch up your approach ideas.

Very good books.  They have helped me change how I hunt for elk during the rut.  I started having success after reading them.  I'm trying to teach my dad some of these calling techniques.
