Being an archery hunter, most would assume that my favorite hunt of the year would be either the early or late season. I do love bow hunting in November but each year I look forward to the modern rifle opening weekend more than any of the hunts I plan for myself! For the last few years my brother and I have made the trip down to the wheat fields to chase white tails with my nephew. And I honestly would skip my seasons to go on this one trip, if I had to. We have been pretty lucky on this hunt with him, taking a nice doe the first year, and an awesome buck the second year. Last year we had to call him off of the "big one" because of an orange vest in the back ground. This year will be even better! I have two more nephews that have reached the age, and get to hunt for themselves.
