Morton modern deer
« on: October 10, 2015, 11:02:21 PM »
Does anyone know any good area to hunt for deer near Morton. I've got 100 acre in between Morton and Glenoma. And wondering of some other public area that has produce before.  Is there much for deer.    I've heard that there is some nice bucks in the area Any advice would be nice.

West of Morton, like Alpha/Cinebar and Newakem Gardens was smoking hot for us twenty years ago.  Lots of timber co lands and State lands in that country.  I don't really know why we stopped hunting there.  We used to call it the grocery store, getting meat there was as easy as a trip to Safeway.

We started hunting islands and s Kitsap peninsula and that is so close to home I guess is why we haven't been down there after blacktails in a coon's age.  Nice bucks still come out of that area every year, we have a buddy that lives there and he does quite well.

:yeah:

Forgot to mention that.  Mountain bikes have worked well for us when we hunted there.  Don't forget and leave your bear tag home.

Lots of deer in the area, but you will have to get out of your rig to get them.  Requires walking, scouting and looking for them.
Cut em!

I mean there are a lot of bear in that country.  I could have phrased what I said better.  Don't leave your bear tag home.
