Carted around a Bog Pod tripod on a moose hunt a few of weeks ago. First time I have tried them on a hunt other than calling coyotes.
Turns out it came in handy for wolves at distance with tall grass/brush in the way & no other support.
The guide had a set of Trigger sticks that we tried out a few times. The legs had a tendency to splay out too far if we set up in a hurry and the top didn't swivel so..went back to the Bog Pod. Wasn't mine so I didn't mess with them enough to care that much.
Thought about getting some of these for the heck of it to try out.
http://www.africansportingcreations.com/cat_shoot_sticks_10.phpOne of the guides mentioned a 'snap on' type bipod or tripod he was impressed with, used by someone he guided recently- Not sure of the brand - I am guessing it was a Stoney Point Rapid Pivot Bipod or tripod. Said it worked well to carry and snap on when needed.
Good luck - buy one of each and let us know which is best.
