Getting over it.
« on: January 17, 2009, 03:34:40 PM »
Went out today, trying to get over missing an easy shotgun shot at my first called in bobcat.  :'( Didnt see anything with fur but lots of deer on the ride in.  On the second stand had a hawk attack the Mojo Critter.  Very funny.  I have had a few fly-by's before but this time he hit it hard.  Good thing that the top thing is a spring.  The hawk knew right away that it wasnt alive and flew up to a near by stump.  His feathers were all ruffled and if I didnt know better I would swear he looked embarrassed!   :chuckle:  He flew off, no harm done, to him or the Critter.  Man I love that thing.  About 6 hours on the same batteries too.

I feel I am getting the hang of this calling stuff.  I called in a coyote yesterday but never got a shot at him before he caught my wind.  Still very exciting.  Also called in a bunch of ravens again that is always a lot of fun.

What did you use to call the birds in? Were they ravens or crows?

Thanks

They were ravens and they come in to the woodpecker distress and Mojo Critter decoy.  But then I turn it to crow distress and they really go nuts.  It is pretty cool.
