Might need to find a new spot
« on: October 14, 2015, 07:35:16 PM »
First day of scouting before the modern opener and I see this scrape and tracks all over the area I was hiking in today. Gonna try a new place tomorrow...

Looks canine from where I sit - coyote type.  I'd keep scouting.

Hard to tell for sure.  Even if it was a cat, the deer don't leave.  They might hold tighter to cover, which does nothing good for hunting near term, but in the long run, a cat will move on.  They have big territories to roam.

That's canine for sure.  I wouldn't worry about it, looks like a dog.

Canine, yes.  Anything to really worry about?  No.

That's a 2.75" shell, so the track is nowhere near wolf-sized.  Considering 'yotes are EVERYWHERE, you're fine.  Go hunt.
