The west headed east number isn't surprising!

Yup. That's what happens when you have the majority of the public land in the state.

Or is it simply the deer hunting is leaps and bounds better on the East side of Washington?

I'm staying west this year for the 1st time in a long time. Going to try something new and I'd like to kill a blacktail at some point in my life.
I'm looking forward to jungle-thick brush and hunting in a downpour.

Or combination of things:
more land, can see 1/2 mile or more from the road (vs 20 yds), less (no) rain, away from home

One of these days I will be an eastside headed west to try again to kill a blacktail buck.  Bucket list!  However, from my house I will be heading west tomorrow!  Just not crossing the PCT ...
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

The east coast aint got no love for Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg?

LOL.

If you guys could put a number on it, how much better are your chances heading out east? And are all the roads heading that way pretty nasty this time of year?
